So... you want to try scuba diving! Excellent! Let's go diving!
"Wait," you're thinking. "It can't be that easy. There are days of classroom lectures and hours of physical conditioning before I can go diving."
Nonsense! For the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you will be breathing underwater within about 2 hours of when we first meet!
What is it?
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving introductory dive is an opportunity to try scuba diving safely, with a very low time commitment. You learn a handful of key skills and gain the knowledge necessary to dive safely with a PADI instructor supervising your dive. Unlike the PADI Open Water Diver certification, the Discover Scuba Diving experience expires and can only be applied to further training for six months.
What do I need?
For this entry-level class, you need very little. A bathing suit is pretty much the only mandatory piece of equipment! If you have your own wetsuit and you find that it fits well, you can bring it as well, as the pool will sometimes get a little chilly.
Other than that, just bring your smile and sense of adventure!
