Let's go diving!
If you're a seasoned diver, these words ring like the dinner bell to a hard-working labourer:
Ahhh... time for a break from the grind!
You splash into the water and the initial reaction is "wow... silence!" then you begin to hear a whole new set of sounds. The humpback whales singing in the distance, the sound of shrimp snapping in the reef... then you notice the sound of your bubbles. Wow, I'm breathing... I must be alive!
And alive you are, experiencing something on this planet that a very few percentage of the population has or ever will.
Perhaps you're here because you want to find out what this scuba diving thing is all about. Well, we keep it simple -- it's about breathing underwater, safely. We won't make you sit through hours and hours of lectures before you touch the gear -- in fact, we usually try to get wet on the first day that we meet as a class!
So, whether you're looking for a first-time experience with scuba diving, want to get some more training before your next vacation, or would just like to get wet, we'd love to take you diving!
Perhaps you're not looking for scuba instruction. That's ok -- we offer first aid courses as well! Our first aid courses can be tailored towards diving, with an emphasis on hyperbaric injuries and concerns, or a more generalist workplace-type course that conforms to Canadian workplace safety regulations.
In an effort to support the ongoing development of dive injury understanding as well as the methods in which it can be treated, Simple Scuba is a strong supporter of the Divers Alert Network (DAN), an organisation that promotes dive safety and diving-related medicine. Please consider joining today:
